Mt. Hermon School, Pine split games in Jewel Sumner Tournament

Mt. Hermon School and Pine went 1-1 in the Jewel Sumner Tournament, while Franklinton won one of its three games in the event that was held on Friday and Saturday,

Mt. Hermon was defeated by Hammond, 13-7, on Friday.

Alexis Magee tallied three hits that included a double with three runs batted in and a run scored.

Kenzie Tetreau singled three times.

Bailey Fortenberry posted two hits that included a double, two runs driven in and a run scored.

Alyssa Urban went 2-for-4.

Jadyn Stafford singled and scored two runs.

Alexa Bulloch singled with an RBI and two runs scored.

Layla Riley doubled and drove in a run.

Katherine Quin doubled and scored a run.

Saturday’s game was a 10-9 win over Franklinton.

Magee had two hits, one for a double, with four RBIs.

Riley tallied two singles and a run batted in.

Stafford singled and scored three runs.

Fortenberry singled, scored two runs and drove in a run.

Emily Bulloch had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Urban singled and scored a run.

Tetreau singled.

Alexa Bulloch and Kamryn Huval scored a run.

Franklinton’s K.K. Schexnider went 4-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored.

Skylar Branch posted two hits with three runs batted in and a run scored.

Isabella Causey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Caylin Turnage singled, doubled and scored two runs.

Shyanne Burris singled twice and drove in two runs.

Rayanna Schillings doubled and scored a run.

Franklinton was defeated in its game on Friday and split contests on Saturday.

Friday’s game was a 17-0 loss to Jewel Sumner in four innings.

Jewel Sumner was 13-0 at press time.

Saturday’s win was 16-1 over Maurepas in three innings.

Branch doubled twice and singled once with an RBI and three runs scored.

Schexnider tripled twice, drove in three runs and scored three runs.

Causey tallied two hits that included a double, two runs batted in and two runs scored.

Schillings doubled with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Aayah Faour doubled, drove in two runs and scored two runs.

Turnage singled with an RBI and a run scored.

Ashley Smith doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run.

Pine defeated Northlake Christian School, 14-11, on Friday.

Dillon Sumrall posted three hits that included a double with three RBIs and four runs scored.

Alyssa Phelps recorded three hits and missed hitting for the cycle by only a homer. She tallied two runs batted in and three runs scored.

Kirbee Magee had three hits, two RBIs and a run scored.

Lily Crain went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run driven in and a run scored.

Addyson Phelps posted a hit and two runs scored.

Baleigh Dunn had a hit and two runs batted in.

Saturday’s contest was a 15-3 loss to Ponchatoula.
