The Bayou Lacombe Cardinals will start their season on Saturday, March 5 with a road game against the South Alabama Dolphins.

The team features four local players.

All four players are Franklinton High School graduates that include Markus Conerly, Kian Conerly, Lawrence Robinson and Kobe Crain.

Last season, the Cardinals reached the playoffs as the No. 1 seed, but were defeated in the first round.

The home opener will be held on March 12.

Home games are at Lakeshore High School, starting at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. and admission is $10.
