Varnado’s Wildcats defeated Mt. Hermon School, 15-9, to open the season on the road on Monday.

Tyran Holmes drove in two runs.

Holmes, Collin Lozier, Quentin Maye, Jabari Robinson and Quovadis Bickham all had a hit.

Mt. Hermon School’s Daeshawn James and Blake Phelps both drove in a run.

Graysen Claunch recorded a hit.

Varnado’s next game will take place on Wednesday against Franklinton on the road.

Mt. Hermon will play again on Monday, against Varnado at Pine.
