Franklinton’s Will Turner helped get the Demons’ 2022 season off to a memorable start.

Turner threw a no-hitter in Franklinton’s 10-0 opening day win over Albany at home on Tuesday in six innings.

Turner went the distance with 12 strikeouts and three walks.

Offensively, Turner and Tryson Fowler both doubled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Rickken Burkhalter went 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

Micah Wascom singled, drove in two runs and scored a run.

Trevor Vise had a hit, a run scored and an RBI.

Dillon Pace doubled and scored a run.

Banyan Penton scored two runs, while Nate Parden tallied a run.

Franklinton’s next games will be on Saturday, Feb. 26, at home with contests at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
