After sealing back-to-back victories over ULM, Louisiana’s Kobe Julien claimed the Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award.

Ragin’ Cajuns redshirt freshman forward Kobe Julien averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists to lead Louisiana to a series sweep of ULM. The Baton Rouge, La., native has recorded his first two career double-doubles in a five-game span, including a career-best 26-point, 10-rebound effort in Saturday’s 79-74 win over ULM. On Thursday, Julien converted a go-ahead free throw with 2.0 seconds remaining to lift the Ragin’ Cajuns to a 78-77 win. On Saturday, he netted four points over the final two minutes, headlined by the go-ahead free throws with 1:57 to play.
