This past weekend was filled with season-best marks for Arkansas State’s Grace Flowers and Elizabeth Martin. They claimed Sun Belt Conference Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week accolades.
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Elizabeth Martin, Arkansas State

Red Wolves’ junior Elizabeth Martin posted a pair of strong performances on the track on Sunday at the USA Jaguar Invitational, including a season-best mark in the mile. Martin clocked a time of 5:00.08 to place fourth in the mile before finishing the day with a time of 2:22.12 in the women’s 800 meters.
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Grace Flowers, Arkansas State

Red Wolves’ senior Grace Flowers celebrated her birthday in style on Sunday, posting season-best marks in both the shot put and weight throw at the USA Jaguar Invitational. Flowers placed third in the shot put with a throw of 15.14m/49-8.50 before capping off her day with a toss of 19.63m/64-5.0 to place fourth in the weight throw. Her mark in the weight throw was the best by a Sun Belt athlete this week, and she currently ranks third in the league in both events.
