Southern Miss football welcomes 26 new players for spring practice

Southern Miss football coach Will Hall announced Wednesday the addition of 26 players this semester to the roster as the Golden Eagles get ready for the 2022 season.

The group includes eight defensive linemen, four offensive linemen and defensive backs, three linebackers, two quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers, along with one punter.

The listing also includes 14 junior college transfers, nine Division I transfers and three high school players. In addition, 24 of the 26 players are from the state of Mississippi.

Thirteen of the players were announced during the December signing period. Southern Miss opens spring practice, Saturday, Feb. 19.

The players added to the 2022 roster during the spring semester include (in alphabetical order):
