Following a weekend sweep of Coastal Carolina, App State’s Adrian Delph secured this week’s Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honor. The Mountaineers are the eighth different program to have a student-athlete recognized as the Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Player of the Week this season.

Mountaineers senior guard Adrian Delph averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists, while leading App State to a weekend sweep of Coastal Carolina to improve to 4-2 in conference play. In a 61-60 win in Boone on Thursday, Delph netted 16 points, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded three assists. The Gastonia, N.C., native followed that up with a 25-point effort—including 17 in the first half—in an 84-76 overtime victory in Conway. The outburst was Delph’s fourth 20-point performance and third 25-point game this season.
