Bogalusa’s Ashton Levi was honored at the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club with its year-end awards banquet at Rock ‘n’ Bowl in New Orleans on Dec. 14.

Levi was one of this year’s R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report on 106.1 FM Prep Player of the Week.

Levi got the honor for his week one performance when he completed 17 of his 32 passes for 398 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 42 yards rushing on 12 carries and another touchdown in the Lumberjacks’ 48-42 win over Franklinton.

That game was the start of an outstanding season for the sophomore.

This season, Levi threw for 2,914 yards with 31 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also ran for 776 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Levi’s season earned him the District 8-3A Offensive Most Valuable Player award.
