Mya Guillory and Megan Gordan were selected to the 2021 Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana Women’s Soccer team for the second straight season, the LSWA announced Thursday.

Guillory, a junior, led the Lady Lions in goals (5), assists (5), shots (39), shots on goal (25) and points (15). The Prairieville, Louisiana native started all 19 matches for SLU this season as she earned first team All-Southland honors last month.

The Lady Lions’ forward earned first team All-Louisiana in 2020 and was named to the honorable mention team Thursday.

Gordon, the all-time games played leader in program history (88), started all 19 matches as well helping SLU to the Southland Conference Tournament semifinals for the second straight season.

Out of Clophill, England, Gordon added to her resume with the appearance on the honorable mention team Thursday along with last year’s first team selection. The SLU midfielder, like Guillory, was also named to the first team All-Southland team last month.

Northwestern State’s Olivia Draguicevich was named the Player of the Year while Louisiana Christian’s Carlos Tejas was the Coach of the Year.
