Franklinton tournament starts on Wednesday

The Franklinton High School Basketball Tournament will take place Wednesday through Saturday, Dec. 4 with nine combined boys and girls teams competing.

The first three days feature four games each with tip offs set for 3:45 p.m., 5:10 p.m., 6:35 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Saturday has two games that start at 10:30 a.m. and noon.

The tournament will open on Wednesday with Pine and Varnado playing in a girls game.

The second game has Pine and Fontainebleau boys.

They are followed by Franklinton and Mt. Hermon School girls.

Lakeshore and Loranger boys cap off the first day’s play.

The next day will begin with Franklinton and Varnado in a girls game at 3:45 p.m.

Pine and Lakeshore boys will follow at 5:10 p.m.

Coming up after that will be Pine and Loranger girls at 6:35 p.m.

The 8 p.m. game will be Franklinton and Loranger boys.

Moving to the third day, things will get under way with Varnado and Mt. Hermon School girls.

They are followed by Fontainebleau and Loranger.

The final two games will be between Franklinton and Pine.

The two schools will play a girls game at 6:35 p.m. and the boys will start at 8 p.m.

Action on Dec. 1 will start at 10 a.m. with Mt. Hermon School and Loranger.

The next game will be between Franklinton and Fontainebleau at noon.
