The Pearl River men’s basketball team got its second consecutive 20-point performance from Carlous Williams (Hattiesburg; West Harrison) Monday night, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Delgado as the Wildcats fell 67-63.

Pearl River (4-2) was unable to recover from a sluggish first half as the Wildcats entered the midway point trailing 64-62 before eventually falling in the contest.

Williams’ 20 points led the team and JaRonn Wilkens (Biloxi) added in 13.

JaRonn Wilkens and Jariyon Wilkens (Biloxi) tied for the team lead in rebounds with five. Cameron Brown (Hattiesburg), Dylan Brumfield (Hattiesburg; Oak Grove) and Williams each chipped in four rebounds.

Brumfield’s three assists led the team.

Pearl River has a chance to get its revenge on Delgado on Nov. 30 as the Dolphins make the trip to Marvin R. White Coliseum. The game is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
