Southeastern ranked 17th, 18th in final regular season FCS Polls

The postseason-bound Southeastern Louisiana University football team were ranked in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25 polls which were released Monday.

Southeastern heads into its fourth postseason appearance in program history ranked 17th in the AFCA FCS Coaches and 18th in the Stats Perform FCS polls. The Lions (8-3) will host Florida A&M (9-2), ranked No. 22 in both polls, on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs.

SLU previously made appearances in the NCAA FCS Playoffs in 2013, 2014 and 2019. FAMU is the first SWAC team to make an FCS playoff appearance since 1997.

Saturday’s game will feature a Southeastern team ranked No. 1 in FCS in total offense (567.0 ypg) and the nation’s leader in total defense (251.6 ypg) in Florida A&M.

The Lions-Rattlers game will be televised on ESPN+. The game can also be heard in the Hammond area on Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM, as well as online at www.kajun107.net.

Season ticket holders, as well as faculty and staff will have until Tuesday at 4 p.m. to purchase their tickets through the Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office. Starting Wednesday at 9 a.m., the remaining allotment will be made available to the public.

Ticket office hours this week will be Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office number is (985) 549-5466 and the office is located on the first floor of West Stadium.

Prices for Saturday’s contest are as follows:
– Chairbacks: $40
– Reserved bench: $26
– Student tickets (ID required): $8 *restricted section

– Student companion: $13
