After a perfect weekend with wins against Troy and ULM, Georgia Southern soccer’s Elis Nemtsov and Sade Heinrichs have swept the Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Player of the Week accolades.
Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Elis Nemtsov, Georgia Southern

Eagles’ redshirt freshman forward Elis Nemtsov scored a goal in each of her team’s Sun Belt wins this week as Georgia Southern improved to 8-4-2 overall and 3-1-1 in league play. She converted from the spot in Thursday’s 2-1 win against Troy. Nemtsov also scored the opening goal of Sunday’s 2-0 victory against ULM for her eighth tally of the season and her first game-winning goal of the year. Half of her eight goals this season have come against Sun Belt opponents.
Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Sade Heinrichs, Georgia Southern

Eagles’ sophomore defender Sade Heinrichs turned in a pair of stellar performances at center back in Georgia Southern’s two Sun Belt wins this past week. She played all 90 minutes in her team’s 2-0 shutout win at ULM, holding the league’s leading scorer Courtney Marten to just one shot. Heinrichs also played the entire 90 minutes in Thursday’s 2-1 victory against Troy. Heinrichs has played every minute in 12 of the Eagles’ 14 matches this season.
