Bogalusa resident has big day in victory

Pope John Paul II’s George Arata had a huge rushing day in the Jaguars’ 40-13 victory over Thomas Jefferson at home on Saturday.

Arata rushed for 245 yards and five touchdowns in the victory.

Arata accomplished the feat on just nine carries. That is an average of 27.2 yards per attempt.

Pope John Paul II will be back in action on Friday when they play Episcopal at home.
