All four local volleyball teams were in action recently with matches giving fans a chance to see a pair of teams from Washington Parish facing each other.

On Sept. 9, Franklinton defeated Varnado, 25-7, 25-19, 25-22, in a contest that took place at Varnado.

The Lady Demons played two more matches against Bogalusa and Pine.

Franklinton won against Bogalusa, 25-7, 25-19, 25-15, at home on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Pine defeated Franklinton, 25-18, 25-7, 25-10 at home.

Pine’s Abbi Schilling recorded nine kills.

Hailey Martin tallied eight kills.

Samone Daniels posted three kills.

Kaitlynn Cochran had two aces.

Varnado had two contests with one each against Franklinton and Bogalusa.

Varnado won the match against Bogalusa that was held Thursday at Bogalusa.

Bogalusa played the two matches against Franklinton and Varnado this week.

Bogalusa will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Loranger.

Franklinton will play again on Tuesday at home against St. Thomas Aquinas.

Pine will be back in action to play against Covington on Monday at CHS.

Varnado’s next match will take place against Springfield on the road Monday.
