Ben’s Ford looks to win 2nd-straight game

Ben’s Ford Christian School comes into this week after winning its first win of the season last week and now looks for its second-straight win with a road game against Porters Chapel Academy on Friday.

“We are looking forward to the game this week and I am hoping we can carry the momentum of our win from last week into this week,” Ben’s Ford Christian School coach Destin PIttman said. “I just want to see our kids playing with confidence all night. I believe we will match up well with Porters Chapel and I expect a good game Friday night in Vicksburg, (Miss.)”

Ben’s Ford Christian School begins the week with a 1-3 record after defeating Discovery Christian School, 46-0.

Gage Adams ran for 146 yards and three touchdowns on just seven carries.

Nate Descant posted 51 yards and a touchdown with his only carry.

Jonah Holston gained 36 yards on his two attempts with a touchdown.

Ein Knight threw one pass and completed it to Holston for a 55-yard touchdown.

Defensively, the Eagles forced four turnovers with Jonah Williams, Holston, Patrick Easterling and Adams all intercepting passes.

Malachi Normand and Martin Mizell both led the team in tackles with six, Normand posted 4.5 for loss. Mizell made 1.5 stops behind the line.

Michael Easterling posted 5.5 stops with one behind the line.

Porters Chapel Academy enters this game with a 2-2 record.

Last week, Porters Chapel Academy was defeated by Claiborne Academy, 52-6.
