Bogalusa Football Association registration is on Saturday
The Bogalusa Football Association will be holding registration on Thursday and Saturday.
All of the signup dates are for football and cheerleading.
The final day to signup is Saturday.
Participants ages 5-12 are eligible for football, while those 3-12 are eligible for cheerleading.
The signups are going to be at the Bogalusa Sports Complex on Avenue B from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
The cost is $80 per child and there is a discount for two or more children in the same family.

Bogalusa 1975 State Track Team is planning a reunion
Members of the 1975 Bogalusa High School State Championship Track Team is planning a reunion.
The group is trying to get the entire team together.
The reunion is in the planning stages.

Bogalusa Football Association holding $50 raffle
The Bogalusa Football Association is holding a raffle.
The raffle is for a $50 Visa gift card. The raffle is being held online on the Bogalusa Football Association’s Facebook page.
Raffle tickets are $1.
The drawing will be on Saturday, Aug. 14.

Franklinton Soccer Club Fall Season starts in August
The Franklinton Soccer Club will host the Fall Season beginning the week of Aug. 9 through Sept. 25.
Registration is open at www.franklintonsoccerclub.com.
Players ages 3 by Jan. 1, 2021 to age 19 are welcome.
The $60 membership fee is paid once per year and covers the spring & fall seasons.
Uniforms for ages 3-6 are $20 and can be used yearly. Uniforms for those above 6 are $70 and include two jerseys, one shorts and socks. Those can be worn yearly until the player has outgrown them.
The early bird registration has passed, so there will be late fee to process uniforms, which takes time print and ship.
The club plays at Atoka Recreation Park, which is located two miles from the Washington Parish Fairgrounds on Louisiana Highway 25.

Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival 5K Race is in September
The Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival 5K run/walk race will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 8 a.m. in Cassidy Park
Early bird registration, which costs $25, will go until Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. After the deadline, the price goes to $30 through raceday. Day of the race registration and check-in are from 7 a.m. until 7:45 a.m.
Those who register by Sept. 6 are guaranteed a T-shirt.
Signups can also be done on www.eventbrite.com.
Group rates are $20 a person. Groups are 10 or more.

Diva Timing is the race’s official timekeeper.
Awards will be for first through third place in running and walking age groups.

Southern Miss Baseball holding a Father-Son/Daughter Camp
Southern Miss baseball is holding a Father-Son/Daughter Camp on Aug. 21 at Pete Taylor/Hill Denson Field.
Registration/sign-in is from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The clinic runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Eligible participants are kindergartners through eighth graders and their father/guardian.
The fee is $100 per father and one son or daughter and $50 for each additional child.
The Southern Miss Baseball Father Son/Daughter Camp is an opportunity to spend an afternoon with your son or daughter on the baseball field at Pete Taylor Park / Hill Denson Field. This camp will provide an outstanding bonding opportunity for the parent and child while also learning the game of baseball and developing an understanding of key fundamentals in maximizing their son’s full potential. Teaching areas will include pitching, hitting, catching, infield and outfield play. The goal of this one-day camp is to provide answers and training solutions to the questions that are most often asked by today’s fathers and youth league players.
