On July 3, 2021, Margaret Ann Creel went to be with the Lord. She was a resident of Bogalusa for over 30 years. Margaret was the proud owner of The Tropical Breeze and loved her career there.

Margaret Creel is survived by her loving wife of 36 years, Ruth Phelps; her eight children, Alicia (Andrew) Ellis, Priscilla Pounds, Glynn Phelps, Danny (Christy) Phelps, Jerry Vince, Courtney Charelle, Blake Phelps and Brett Phelps; 20 grandchildren, Justin (Brittany) Creel, Trevor Ellis, Hartley Ellis, Remington Phelps, Steven Phelps, Samantha Phelps, Dylan Phelps, Lane Moore, Madison Moore, Dane Charelle, Zane Pounds, Cruz Pounds, Dyeza Phelps, Ian Phelps, “Little Blake” Phelps, Jayden Vince, Treylon Vince, Brianna Vince, Cassandra Branch and Georgie Phelps; two great-grandchildren, Madalynn Elizabeth Nicole Creel and Bayleigh Nova Phelps; two brothers, Jerry (Pauline) Creel and Ricky Creel; one sister, Belinda Creel; a very close special friend, Patsy Ann Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Elizabeth Creel; and a brother, Gary Bruce Creel.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. Visitation will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, July 7, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 8, at 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Thomas in Franklinton.
