Betty Frey, 88, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away in her residence on June 16, 2021. She was born in Silver City, N.M., on July 26, 1932. She graduated from Texas A&M University as magna cum laude with honors, and received her bachelor’s degree.

Mrs. Frey is survived by her daughters, Pam (Cliff) Turner of Bogalusa, and Leslie (Mark) McGuire of Spicewood, Texas; five grandchildren, Matthew (Christa) Turner, Josh Turner, Bonnie Catherine (Brett) Slaughter, Murphy McGuire and Carrie Turner; her great-grandchildren, Maddox Slaughter, Manning Slaughter, Darren Turner, Jacob Seal and Annabeth Yancey; one brother, Cleve Prince; and a nephew, Rodney Prince.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Mr. Henry Frey Jr.; her parents, Grover Neffe, Mildred Mann and R.P. Prince; and a grandson, Mason McGuire.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements. On Monday, June 21, a graveside service will be held at Hillview Memorial Gardens at 11:30 a.m., with Bro. Lesley Lassley officiating.
