Varnado’s Wildcats played in their spring game on May 13 against Springfield on the road.

Varnado coach Adam Brumfield said that his team moved the ball well offensively and gave up just one big play defensively.

We got a little worn out towards the end because we had kids going both ways and our numbers are a little low; but if we have a good summer we will get in better shape,” Brumfield said. “The main thing I wanted to see is just us compete and we did just that. Our kids and coaches both felt good about our performance.”
