Franklinton’s Demons went against Jewel Sumner in a spring game that took place on May 13 at home.
The teams ran series of plays before going into working on goalline situations. The scrimmage ended with two 12-minute quarters.
Kendairius Brumfield scored a touchdown in the goalline work.
Kollin Williams and Josiah Miller had turnovers defensively.
Wiliams intercepted a pass and Miller recovered a fumble.
In the timed period, Franklinton was defeated, 6-0.
“I was very proud of our players, they have worked very hard since November for the opportunity to compete and that’s what we did. We were missing several key contributors, but that provided an opportunity for younger players to get some work,” Franklinton coach Jonathan Barber said. “Our team is hungry and we have the right mindset, we have a ton of work to do but we are ready for 2021! Go Demons!”
