Bogalusa’s Crumedy wins 1 event, takes 2nd in another

Bogalusa’s Ta’miya Crumedy won one event and took runner up in another at the Tylertown Invitational that took place on March 19 in Mississippi.

Crumedy won the 300-meter hurdles and was second in the 100 hurdles.

Crumedy ran the 300 hurdles in 54.9 seconds. North Pike’s Tanivea Miller was second at 59.09.

Crumedy ran the 100 hurdles in 19.86 for second. Columbia’s Kaitlynn Gates won in 18.19.

Bogalusa and Varnado were the only local teams in the meet.

Bogalusa’s Kaitlin Holloway was second in the long jump with a distance of 13 feet, 9.5 inches. South Pike’s Jezerah Coney won at 14-0.25.

Varnado’s Asia Magee was fourth in the discus with a throw of 55-0. Jefferson Davis’ Danielle Hathorne won at 81-3.

Bogalusa’s Mary Ladner and Varnado’s Debriana Weary ran sixth and seventh in the 100 with times of 14.46 and 15.06. Madison Ridge’s Kennedi Sanders won in 12.54.

Varnado teammates Jakyra Daggs and Magee were sixth and 10th in the shot put with distances of 22-10 and 18-0, respectively. South Pike’s Tatiana Butler won at 31-11.
