Franklinton’s girls posted a 2-1 record, while the boys went 1-2 in their contests in home tennis matches held recently.

The girls won their match over Covington, 3-2, on March 15.

Dawn Kehoe won her singles match, 6-2, 7-5.

The doubles team of Jennifer Dong/McKenna Rushing won 6-0, 6-3.

The other singles match was a forfeit.

Franklinton was defeated in the other two doubles matches.

Elizabeth Thompson/McKinley Thompson were defeated, 14-12, 6-0.

Marleigh Schilling/Kendra Williams were defeated, 6-0, 7-5.

The boys were defeated by Covington, 4-1.

Bryson Thomas won his match, 6-4, 5-7, 10-8.

Sidney Richardson was defeated, 6-3, 6-0.

In doubles, Keaton Catrett/Matthew Rogers were defeated, 6-0, 6-3.

Van Mizell/Andrew Fitzmorris were defeated, 6-0, 6-1.

Sydney Richardson/Rhett Brignac were defeated, 6-0, 6-3.

On March 16, the girls’ team was topped by Salmen, 3-2.

Oehoe won her match, 6-4, 6-2.

The doubles team of Rushing/Dong won their match, 6-1, 6-3.

Schilling/Williams were defeated, 0-6, 7-6, 10-6.

Malla Veleces/Kayla Vallejo were defeated, 3-6, 6-3, 11-9.

The other singles match was a forfeit.

The boys were defeated, 5-0.

Thomas was defeated, 6-1, 5-7, 13-11.

In doubles, Catrett/Rogers were defeated, 6-3, 4-7, 10-8.

Richardson/Mizell were defeated, 6-0, 6-2.

Brignac/Fitsmorris were defeated, 6-1, 6-2.

On Monday, both Franklinton teams won.

The girls won every match.

Kehoe won 6-4, 6-3.

McKinley was victorious, 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, Schilling/Williams won in three sets, 3-6, 17-15, 10-5.

Dong/Rushing and Thompson/Vallejo won by forfeit.

The boys won 4-1.

The doubles team of Richardson/Rogers won 6-3, 6-2.

Thomas/Carett were defeated, 6-1, 6-4.

Mizell and Bowman won their singles matches and the doubles team of Brignac/Fitzmorris won by forfeit.

Franklinton’s next match will take place tomorrow at home against Lakeshore.
