Mt. Hermon School’s Trent Wilson
Mt. Hermon School’s Trent Wilson plays baseball for the Yellow Jackets.
The senior plays pitcher, catcher and third base.
Wilson was a second-team all-district player his freshman year.
“Trent is a young man who comes from a great family,” Mt. Hermon coach Matt Sessions said. “He is one of those dream kids that comes through the program. He is committed to this sport. He works his tail off everyday and has been a centerpiece of what we’re building around here and I have nothing but high hopes for him as he continues to play this sport.”
What do you enjoy most about playing your sport?
I just love coming to school all day just to play the sport I love. I love playing baseball. It gives me something to do. I love this group of guys around us. We’ve got a great community and I love coach Matt. He’s a very good coach. It takes my mind off of everything else when I play baseball.
What do you like best about being a student athlete?
I set the standard for everybody around the school campus because I’ve gotta do good for the people around so I can be a mentor.
Who has been the most influential person in your school sports career? Why?
Coach Matt (Sessions). He taught me everything I know about baseball. He’s also there outside of school. I know if I need anything, I can just call him.
