Franklinton’s golf team competed in the first competition of the Northlake Golf League on Monday at Pinewood Country Club in Slidell.

Lakeshore’s Jesse Maggio won the boys event with a 47 over the nine holes with nine golfers competing.

Lakeshore’s Rhett Kimbell and Kyren Ward tied for second with a 55.

Franklinton’s Santino Nuzzolillo was fourth at 56.

Teammate Christopher Temples and Lakeshore’s Signey rounded out the top five, as both posted a 57.

In the girls competition, Pearl River’s Sophie Lee won with a 40 in a field of five golfers.

Lakeshore’s Amelia Siverd and Abby Morris tied for second with a 57 each.

Franklinton’s Madeline Burris and Lakeshore’s Avery Finklea tied for fifth at 61.

The league will return to action on Monday at Royal Golf Club.
