Bowling Green School’s Buccaneers were defeated by Jackson Preparatory School, 61-35, in the Overall Tournament on Tuesday at Bowling Green.

The loss caps off the season for Bowling Green.

Javon Bickham scored 12 points to lead the Buccaneers.

Bickham is one of nine seniors that includes Rece Dillon, Dalton Crain, Sammy Phelps, Matthew Downs, Triston Jones, John Downey III, Dylan Sonier and Crockett Comeaux.

“This is a great group of young men,” Bowling Green School coach Pat King said. “These guys took ownership of this team and led it on one of the greatest seasons of our program’s history. These men will be missed, but will not be forgotten. As these men enter life after basketball, I can only hope they learned half as much from me as they taught me.”

Jackson Preparatory School plays Hartfield Academy on March 6. Hartfield Academy had a bye in the first round. The winner plays either Greenville Christian School or Jackson Academy.
