BHS’s Roberts competed in meet on Saturday
Bogalusa’s Raheem Roberts competed in three events at the LSU High School Last Chance Qualifier 2021 on Saturday.
Roberts was in all of the jumps.
He came in 11th, 12th and 29th in the high jump, triple jump and long jump respectively.
Roberts high jumped 5 feet, 5.75 inches. St. Amant’s D’andre Taylor, Ruston’s Jamarion Reed and Mandeville’s Nathan Lambertson tied for first at 6-1.25. The tiebreaker is fewest misses, so Taylor won, followed by Reed and Lambertson.
Roberts triple jumped 40-3.5. Scotlandville’s Kevon Hamilton won the event with a distance of 46-0.75.
Roberts long jumped 17-4.25. Crowley’s Tyron Goodley won at 21-8.25.
The state meet will take place on Feb. 20 at the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse, which is on the campus of LSU.
