In softball, Jacobs-Dantin plays catcher and centerfield.
“I’m real proud of Allie,” Ben’s Ford Christian School softball and girls basketball coach Mark McGehee said. “This being her senior year. She is going to be missed by the Eagle family. I’m praying for the best for her life’s endeavours. Allie has always been a pleasure to coach.”
What do you enjoy most about playing your sports?
My dad (Derek Dantin) started coaching my team in the eighth grade, so playing for my dad and the friends I’ve met along the way and trying to better myself.
What do you like best about being a student athlete?
The challenge it brings everyday like struggling to get homework done on the bus and in between games. It pressures me to set an example that you can do more than one thing for the ones coming up.
Who has been the most influential person in your school sports career? Why?
My little sisters (Ashlyn and Avery Dantin) because I am the oldest of all of us and what they see is what they’re going to try to be. They’re kind of my motivation.
Who is your favorite athlete? Why?
Brianna Beal. She plays basketball at the University of South Carolina. She’s very motivational and inspirational.
Best thing about living in Washington Parish?
The fair. I was very upset that the fair was canceled. Also, coming out on the Friday night football game and seeing our stand being packed with our family and friends.
