FHS’s Stewart, Laurant combine for 43 points in district opening win
Franklinton’s Cam’ron Stewart and Cornelius Laurant both hit the 20-point plateau in a 61-55 District 9-4 opening win over Pearl River at home Friday.
Stewart scored a game-high 23 points that included three 3-pointers.
Laurant was next with 20 points and he made one from beyond the arc.
Albert Browhaw tallied seven points.
Keey’ontreh Williams posted five points and hit a 3-pointer.
Jaheim Jefferson had four points.
Wyatt Lambert recorded two points.
Franklinton will be back in action on Wednesday against East Jefferson in a road game.
