Franklinton’s Demons were defeated by Holy Cross, 9-0, in a District 7-II contest at home on Saturday.

“Holy Cross has been atop the state the last three years by their play, but the sportsmanship of players and coach alike rivals their talent. Lessons of humility as well as excellence on every level for our guys,” Franklinton coach Nate Murray said.

Holy Cross, which is the defending Division II state champion and is 18-3-2 this year, tops the Division II unofficial LHSAA powerpoints rankings.

Franklinton’s next game will take place on Jan. 28 at home against Ascension Christian.
