After much thought and consideration, students will be asked to return to school beginning Jan. 25, following the hybrid model. This date was chosen by the system as it is the end of the nine weeks, which ends on Jan. 22, and it allows time for students to be reminded of which day they report to school, gather uniforms and prepare to return to school.
Students who were originally A day (Monday, Tuesday) will begin on Jan. 25 and the students who were B day (Thursday, Friday) will begin on Jan. 28. We will continue with Wednesday being a virtual day. If your child is a virtual student, then he or she will remain virtual for the remainder of the year.
While we know that this year has truly been a challenge for everyone, we fully believe that we need to make every effort to bring our students back to school. We will move into this hybrid time with caution, and follow all guidelines set forth by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) to defend against COVID-19. Masking is required of all, as well as frequent hand washing and social distancing. Temperatures will continue to be monitored for all who enter our campuses.
We intend to continue with Hybrid model learning for the remainder of the year, as well as virtual learning for those who want to continue on that path. If the state of Louisiana returns to Phase One, we will at that time return to all virtual learning.
Please watch for a call, email, website post or Facebook post as to new developments that may follow.
Thank you as always for your patience and continued support.
