Michael Ross was born May 28, 1954, to the late Talma Jean Crain Watson and Elbert Ross. Michael departed life on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, in New Orleans.

Michael graduated from Franklinton High School in May of 1972 and later attended the University of California.

Michael later enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in August of 1976. He majored in Missile and Ammunitions and was certified in August of 1974.

He loved fishing, gardening and entertaining family.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Latika Lott and husband Matthew of Fairfield, Ohio, and April Holder of Franklinton; step-daughter, Vanessa Jackson of New Orleans; two grand-daughters, Sky Lott and Summer Lott; three grandsons, King Magee, Kameron Holder and Kane Holder; two step-grandsons, Gerald Coleman and De’Sean Coleman; step-granddaughter, Mysia Coleman; ex-wife and caregiver, Mary Ross; a special aunt, Marva Crain; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Talma J. Crain Watson; father, Elbert Ross; brothers, August, Leon, Glynn and Donnell Ross; and his sister, Paula Ross Burkhalter.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel.
