- The International Paper Bogalusa Mill donated non-perishable food and a financial donation to the Bogalusa Help Center. The donations were raised by mill employees to help feed the need this holiday season. Sam Verret, assistant to the mill manager, organizes the food drive and presented the check to Gene Hayman, Bogalusa Help Center director, and a group of volunteers. “This year we surpassed our previous collections with 14 cases of food and $1,840 for the Help Center,” Verret said. “Our generous employees recognize that this has been an unusually hard year for some families and want to make sure our community members who rely on the Help Center have a very Merry Christmas.”
