Pine’s Raiders were defeated, 55-8, by Port Allen in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs.

“It was just terrible playing conditions, and once the mistakes started, they just mounted on us and the game got out of hand,” Pine coach Bradley Seal said.

Pine’s touchdown came on a run by Audrelique Dural. Luke Spears ran in the two-point conversion.

Dural ran for 65 yards on 15 carries.

Anterrius Walker made one reception for 28 yards on a pass from Spears.

Adrianuen Johnson ran for 42 yards.

No. 23 Pine tallied a 2-6 record this season, including playoffs.

“It wasn’t as successful as we had hoped, but on the positive side, during the summer, we weren’t even sure we would even be able to have a season,” Pine coach Bradley Seal said. “The seniors had a season and that’s what we’re happy about.”

No. 10 Port Allen is 6-2 this season. Port Allen plays against seventh-seeded and defending Class 2A state champion Ferriday. Ferriday won its first-round game by forfeit.
