Thanksgiving tourneys take center court

Five teams from Washington Parish are scheduled to compete in tournaments during Thanksgiving Week.
Three local boys teams are playing in the Lakeshore Titans Thanksgiving Tourney, which will take place Monday through Wednesday.
The tournament will feature Bogalusa, Franklinton and Mt. Hermon School.
Each team will play one game per day.
Three games are set for each day.
Monday’s and Tuesday’s games will take place at 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., while Wednesday’s contests are at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Every time slot except Tuesday’s final game features a team from Washington Parish.
On Monday, Franklinton plays Mandeville at 4:30 p.m. The 6 p.m. contest features Mt. Hermon and Pope John Paul II. The night ends with Bogalusa going against Lakeshore at 7:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Mt. Hermon plays in the opener against Mandeville, followed by Bogalusa and Franklinton at 6 p.m. Lakeshore and Pope John Paul II wraps up the day with a 7:30 p.m. game.
On Wednesday, Bogalusa goes against Mandeville at 11 a.m. Franklinton goes against Pope John Paul II at 12:30 p.m. with Mt. Hermon School and Lakeshore playing at 2 p.m.
Bowling Green School’s boys and girls basketball teams are competing in the Brookhaven Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament, which will take place on Nov. 23-24.
Eight games will take place per day beginning at 10:45 a.m. with the final contest scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Games will start every 75 minutes.
Bowling Green’s teams will play each day at 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The girls team plays against Centreville Academy at 1:15 p.m. on Monday and the boys follow against Centreville Academy at 2:30 p.m.
The next day, Bowling Green’s girls team will play against Jackson Academy at 1:15 p.m. and the boys will play Jackson Academy at 2:30 p.m.
