Pine’s Raiders celebrate Homecoming Week, as the Raiders play against Northlake Christian School in a non-district game.
“It’s homecoming, so we’ve gotta keep our heads on straight and focus on things that matter,” Pine coach Bradley Seal said.
The Raiders enter this week with an 0-2 record.
Last week, Pine was defeated by St. Thomas Aquinas, 34-18, in its District 9-2A opener.
The Raiders won last year’s game, 50-13, and have won the last three meetings against the Wolverines.
Seal talked about the key to being successful this week.
“Getting our run game going. We struggled with that last week. We had three linemen go down and we’ve gotta get them back,” Seal said.
Seal said on Monday that one of his linemen will be back for sure and the other two were up in the air.
After this week, Pine will go back into district play and will play all district games for the rest of the regular season. Next week’s game will be against St. Helena College and Career Academy on Oct. 23 on the road.
