John Henry Blount was born to the late Ollie and Marjorie Blount on Jan. 7, 1957. He graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1975.

John wanted everyone around him to be happy. He had a way of always making you laugh. He worked in the medical field for over 40 years and all of the patients looked forward to his daily humor.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Jewell, John, and J.B. Blount; two brothers, Vernell and Earl Magee; two sisters, Jan Blount and Mae (Tracy) McLain; and grandchildren, J. B. Blount, Janala Blount, Jewell Domieon Plummer, Aminah Quran Plummer, Malik Lamar Plummer, and Quadir Ali Plummer. John loved his family and he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Nathaniel officiating.
