Lady Raiders capture 1st 3 matches of 2020 season

Pine’s Lady Raiders volleyball team captured their first three matches of the 2020 season with wins over First Baptist Christian School, Christ Episcopal School and Franklinton in contests held Tuesday through Thursday.
The Lady Raiders won every set. The first two matches were at home, while Thursday’s contest took place on the road.
On Tuesday, Pine defeated First Baptist Christian School 25-17, 25-5, 25-13 in the season opener.
Makia Clark tallied 12 kills, one ace and a dig.
Reece Polk downed seven kills to go with a dig.
Leah Ladner posted four kills, an ace and she blocked a shot.
Kalli Tullier recorded three kills.
Savannah McDaniel had two kills.
Kiyahsa Clark pulled up a pair of digs.
Hailey Martin had one dig.
Kaitlyn Cochran served an ace in the win.
The next day was a 25-15, 25-22, 25-23 win over Christ Episcopal School.
Makia Clark led the team in kills with 13. Clark also blocked four shots and recorded a pair of aces.
Ladner posted seven kills, two aces and she blocked two shots.
Kiyahsa Clark logged six kills, a dig and an ace.
Tullier tallied six kills and four aces.
McDaniel had two kills.
Martin recorded a kill.
Thursday’s game was a 25-5, 25-7, 25-6 win over Franklinton.
Makia Clark recorded six kills and she served five aces.
Tullier tallied six kills and two aces.
Ladner posted six kills and one ace.
Kiyahsa Clark had four kills and three aces.
McDaniel and Martin downed a kill each.
Pine’s next match takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 15 on the road against First Baptist Christian School.
