District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that a Washington Parish grand jury indicted Marilyn G. Bateman, 77, of Bogalusa, on Tuesday on a charge of theft over $25,000.

Bateman, the former director of the Bogalusa Chamber of Commerce, is accused of stealing at least $100,000 from the organization, Montgomery said.

Assistant District Attorney Blair B. Alford presented the case to the grand jury.
