First Lady Missionary Ollie Mae Warren-Magee was born in Franklinton to the late Herbert Warren Sr. and Lena Dyson-Warren on May 27, 1931, and departed this life Friday, May 29, 2020.

Ollie Mae Warren-Magee was the seventh of eleven children.

Ollie Mae Warren-Magee was married to Administrative Assistant Dr. Benson Magee and recently celebrated on May 22, 2020, their 72nd Anniversary, and to that union was born eight children: Belinda (Steven Acker), Carolyn (James Hawkins Sr.) Larry Magee, Jerry Magee (Sylvia), Adrian Magee, Jonathan Magee (Paula), Lisa (Anthony McGowan), and Veronica (Andrew Jackson Jr.).

First Lady Missionary Ollie Mae Warren-Magee was the co-founder of the House of Faith Church of God in Christ. She served faithfully as president of the Women’s Department and labored in many capacities at the House of Faith Church of God in Christ in New Orleans. She also served at the Friendship Community Church of God in Christ in Hackley, under the leadership of her husband Administrative Assistant Dr. Benson Magee. First Lady Missionary Ollie Mae Warren-Magee served as President of the Bishop’s Superintendent’s and President’s Wives Circle and she served on the Catechizing Board in the Louisiana East 2nd Jurisdiction under the leadership of the late Bishop Joseph Anthony Thompson. She served faithfully in the Louisiana East 3rd Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Howard Quillen.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Herbert Warren Sr., Lena Dyson-Warren, Cleo Warren-Magee, Ester Lee Warren, Roosevelt Warren, Gino Warren, Oscar Warren, and Ezekiel Warren, and one daughter, Adrian Magee.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Diane Sims, Belinda (Steve Acker), Carolyn (James Hawkins Sr.), Lisa (Anthony McGowan) and Veronica (Andrew Jackson Jr.); her sons, Larry Magee, Jerry Magee (Sylvia) and Jonathan Magee (Paula); more than 30 grandchildren; a host of-great grandchildren and great -great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives; three brothers, John Warren, Herbert Warren Jr. and Amos Warren (Myrtis); one sister, Azalean Wilson; and one sister-in-love, Missionary Hattie Magee-Conerly.

Drive-thru visitation was Tuesday, June 2, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

Adhering to COVID-19 guidelines, services will be held Wednesday, June 3, at noon, at the Crain and Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Washington St. in Franklinton. Bishop Howard Quillen of the Louisiana East 3rd Jurisdiction will be presiding.
