Dan Milton, 87, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on May 14, 2020, at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans. He was born in Tylertown, Miss., on Dec. 5, 1932. Dan served in the Korean War as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He also served as a past master of Center Lodge #244. He married Dorothy Rawls Milton in 1963 and devoted his life to his family and his faith. He loved spending time with his family at his farm in Walthall County, Miss.
Dan is survived by his son, Chris (Sandy) Lloyd; grandchildren, Toni Lloyd (Casey) Willis, Dana Lloyd (Louis) Hebert, Blake Lloyd, and Amanda Lloyd; and great-grandsons, Hayden Willis, Harrison Willis, Ashton Hebert, Alexander Hebert, and Noah Lloyd.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Rawls Milton; his son, Larry Lloyd; his siblings, T.C. Milton, Warren “Son” Milton, Louise Milton Clark, Eva Milton Carter, and John “Snow” Milton; and his parents, Otis and Viola Graves Milton.
He will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him.
A graveside service to celebrate Mr. Dan’s life will be held Saturday, May 16, at 11 a.m. at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa. The Rev. Marcus Rosa will officiate and interment will follow.
