Sports tribute ‘drive-by’ planned for Friday at BHS
Lisa Tanner, superintendent of the Bogalusa City Schools, said that the system is planning a special event Friday in support of its student-athletes.
Tanner said that Bogalusa High School will be having a “drive-by support” event on Friday night, from 8:15 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. She said that the football stadium and baseball field would be lit in support of all those student-athletes who had to end their seasons early — especially the seniors. In addition, there will be banners and posters hung on the fence in front of the school.
All are invited to participate and show their support to the students. However, no one will be allowed to stop or get out of their vehicles, as the event will follow social distancing regulations.
