Carolyn Beck Downs Hileman French Smith, born Nov. 4, 1939, in Baton Rouge, passed away in Bogalusa on Feb. 24, 2020, at 2:22 p.m. at the age of 80 years.

She was a homemaker and had five children and raised them with help from Don Downs. She loved God with her whole heart.

Family members include a sister, Peggy Emmanuel; mother, Marie Beck; father, Lester Beck; daughters, Tonya Crumbly, Denice Mitts and Victoria French; and sons, Jeff and Lee Downs.
