John E. Vaughn passed away on Nov. 5, 2019, at Ochsner Medical Foundation Hospital in Jefferson, at the age of 68. He was born in Bogalusa on Nov. 11, 1950.

He is survived by his children, Rev. John Shane (Karen) Vaughn of Waveland, Miss., Vicki Vaughn of Bogalusa, and Joni Vaughn of Las Vegas, Nev., and step-daughter, Christa (Daniel) Garner Kreamer; his grandchildren, Tyler Vaughn, Andrew Vaughn, Branham Vaughn, Brycen Brothers, Hadleigh Thigpen, Zachary Smith and Peyton Vaughn; one great-grandchild, Kayzalan Vaughn; and his sister, Edna LaNelle Pounds (John Jr.) Leavell.

He was preceded in his death by his parents, William and Bobbie Vaughn; his brother, Billy Vaughn; and step-daughter, Mary Amanda Garner.

His arrangements were entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory in Bogalusa. Services were private.
