Washington Parish Tournament gets under way on Wednesday

Fans of girls and boys LHSAA basketball teams from Washington Parish will have the opportunity to see their teams play over three days in the Washington Parish Basketball Tournament.
The event will take place Wednesday through Friday at Pine High School.
Teams will play in a bracket format. There will be a consolation bracket, but when a team loses a game, they cannot win the tournament. The consolation bracket is for third place.
The tournament will begin Wednesday at 4 p.m. with Franklinton and Bogalusa’s girls teams playing against each other.
The winner will play Mt. Hermon School the following day at 6:40 p.m. The winner of that game will play in Friday’s championship game at 6:40 p.m.
On Wednesday at 6:40 p.m., Pine and Varnado will play their first game, with the winner moving on to the title game on Friday at 6:40 p.m.
In the boys division, Franklinton and Varnado will play at 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday. The winner will play Mt. Hermon School at 8 p.m. on Thursday, with the victor playing for the championship at 8 p.m. on Friday.
Bogalusa and Pine will go against each other on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The winner will play in the title contest at 8 p.m. on Friday.
Thursday and Friday’s action will tip off at 4 p.m. with the consolation bracket for the girls. The boys consolation bracket games will begin at 5:20 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
