Shawn Saucier was Bogalusa’s top finisher in the 2019 STA Bruce O’Krepki Memorial CC Invitational held Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. Thomas Aquinas.
Saucier was 32nd with a time of 23 minutes, 11 seconds in the three-mile event.
Teammates Tyron Jonson, Skyler Payne and Davin Phillips were 43rd, 45th and 46th, respectively, with times of 31:58, 38:59 and 39:12.
Northlake Christian School’s Dallas West was victorious in the event with a time of 17:03.
West won by nearly 15 seconds, as St. Thomas Aquinas’ Gavin Bankston was second at 17:18.
Christ Episcopal School’s Jake Tournillon was third at 17:23, followed by Jewel Sumner’s Nick Story’s 17:36 and Christ Episcopal School’s Luke Acosta’s 17:42 to round out the top five in a field of 46.
Five squads qualified for team honors. Five runners are needed for team honors.
Jewel Sumner won the team competition with 36 points.
St. Thomas Aquinas was second at 52, followed by Archbishop Hannan’s 58, Lakeshore’s 76 and Maurepas’ 122.
