Bogalusa started off strong. In their first possession of the game, Josh Taylor led the Lumberjacks in a 12-play drive down from their own 30-yard line. From the Wolves’ 11, Taylor handed off to Talik Williams who punched through for the first touchdown of the game. The Lumberjacks set up for the extra point kick, but at the last second DeMarcus Spikes kept the ball, completed the two-point conversion, and put the score at 8-0.

A strong defensive showing by both the Wolves and the Lumberjacks held up for the rest of the first quarter. At the start of the second quarter, Clyedterrious Thompson blocked a punt by Loranger’s Cov Disher and recovered it at the Wolves’ own 10-yard-line. Taylor ended by putting a field goal through and put the score at 11-0. Neither team was able to get on the board again for the rest of the half.

Loranger started off the third quarter with a five-play drive from midfield for their first touchdown of the game with a pass from quarterback Jake Messina from the 27. The two-point conversion was good, which moved the score to 11-8. With three minutes left in the third quarter, Messina handed off from the 3-yard line to put the Wolves’ second touchdown on the board. Beau Landry kicked the field goal and put the score at 15-11 with the Wolves taking the lead.

The fourth quarter featured the Wolves taking an even stronger lead. With six minutes left in the game, Messina handed off for another touchdown. Landry was successful with the extra point kick and put the score at 22-11.

The Wolves then forced the Lumberjacks to turn it over on downs. Loranger’s final drive ended with another touchdown on a handoff by Messina. Landry’s extra point was good and the final score was 29-11.

Loranger finished the regular season with a 10-0 overall record.
