Varnado’s Wildcats were defeated by St. Helena College and Career Academy, 19-0, in a District 9-2A contest Friday on the road.
Varnado fell to 2-6 overall this season and 0-2 in district play. The Wildcats will be back in action Friday against Independence in District 9-2A play at home.
Independence is 1-6 overall and 0-3 in district. Independence lost to defending Class 2A champion Amite last week, 34-6.
St. Helena improved to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in district.
