Bogalusa lost an 11-point halftime lead in a 36-31 loss to Booker T. Washington in Saturday’s non-district game on Homecoming Night.
“We have to learn how to play four quarters of football,” Bogalusa coach Adam Brumfield said. “We have had two poor third quarters two weeks in a row, and you can’t do that against good football teams. Kids have to do what they are supposed to do, instead of what they want to do. We have to play for each other and not ourselves.
“We have to tackle better on defense and execute more effectively on offense. If we can do those things we will start back winning football games again, and if we don’t, then we won’t. It’s that simple.”
Five of Bogalusa’s games have been decided by one possession or less. The Lumberjacks are 2-3 in those contests.
Josh Taylor passed for 268 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 46 yards and a score.
LaDarious Spikes rushed for 29 yards.
Raheem Roberts led the receivers with six catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyrese Roussell tallied three receptions for 71 yards.
Tajdryn Forbes recorded three catches for 54 yards.
Clyedterrious Thompson had a catch for 11 yards.
Bogalusa fell to 3-5 overall this season and 0-2 in district play. The Lumberjacks will be back in action on Friday against Jewel Sumner in a District 8-3A road game.
